Overview

The Tsum Valley Trek is a remote moderate type of trekking which is situated in north of Gorkha District in Manaslu Region.This is an amazing hidden valley surrounded by Ganish Himal to the South, Himal Chuli and Buddha Himal to the West and Shringi Himal to the North. Tsum Valley is famous for unique Tibetan Culture, lifestyle, spiritual places, marvelous landscape and Spectacular Mountain view. It is a remote and detached with modern development outside link and due to restricted area only from, 2007 foreign tourists has been allowed to visit in Tsum Valley with especial permit.

Tsum Valley Trek also start from Sotikhola after 7 hour Jeep or bus drive from Kathmandu following the traditional route to Manaslu Circuit until New bridge before Lokpa then split the way to right and enters the Tsum Valley Trek. Lokpa (1905 m) is the lowest and Ngula Dhojhyng pass (5093 m) is the highest point of Tsum Valley Trek. This hidden sacred valley is the famous for Tibetan Buddhist culture, lifestyle, ancient ritual and majestic views of Ganesh Himal (7422 m), Shringi Himal (7161 m), and Buddha Himal (6692 m) and so many century old Gompas, Chorten and Mani wall. You can see every where beautiful paintings and prayer flag with Tibetan Mantra on the Stone, wall, house and Monasteries so Tsum Valley calls Himalayan Pilgrimage. Likewise, there is still practicing polyandry common wife system and Nunnery system is the more famous. Mu Gompa and Ranchen Gumpa are the most famous for cultural and religious assets then Lhosar, Dhacyhang and Saka Dawa are the most popular festivals in this vivid sacred valley. Traditional animal husbandry and collecting herbal from high Mountain are the main sours of living in this region. They have distinct culture, language, rituals and way of living with isolated from outside world due to remoteness.

In this Tsum Valley does not have fancy hotel and restaurants like Everest and Annapurna so there are normal tea house and home stay, and you can stay in tea house or home stay enjoy with local food with local as same family. Or staying in tented camp makes food according to your choice. You need especial permit in group at list two people with authorized guide from authorized Trekking Company. There are many trekking routes in Thin Manaslu region like: Manaslu Tsum Valley Trek, Ganesh Himal Tsum Valley Trek and Tsum Valley Lower Manaslu Trek. So we can arrange your package according to your suit.

Day 1Airport picks up and transfers to hotel then short briefing about trek

Day 2After breakfast about 9 hour by bus/ 6 hour by Jeep drive to Machhakhola (900 m) overnight at lodge

Day 3 Machha Khola 6/7 hour trek to Jagat (1400 m) overnight at lodge

Day 4 Jagat about 6 hrs trek to Lokpa (2240 m) overnight

Day 5Lokpa about 5 hrs trek to Chumling (2386 m) overnight

Day 6 Chumling about 5 hrs trek to Chekhang Paro (3030 m) overnight

Day 7 Chekhang Paro about 5 hrs trek to Nile (3360 m) overnight

Day 8 Nile about 2 trek to Mu Gumba (3700 m) overnight

Day 9Mu Gumba about 3 hrs trek to Burgi village with Milareppa Cave overnight
