Overview

The Mera Peak is the most popular and highest trekking Peak in Nepal, which is located in Barun-sub section of Mahalangur Himalaya Range between Everest and Makalu. Mera Peak (6476 m) has classified as a highest trekking Peak and there are three summit like; Mera North (6476 m), Mera central (6461 m) and Mera South (6065 m). From the Mera Peak summit five 8000 m peaks can be witnessed; Mount Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Kanchenjunga and Cho Oyo and other many beautiful peaks as well. The Mera South offers the distinct view, but this is more technical and the route is not marked on Map as well and it was first sum-mated by British Everest Summit Team in 1953. This is the best Trekking peak for view and elevation so there are thousands of people summits Mera Peak and day to day becoming more popular.

This Mera Peak Climbing trip also start from Luk-La after 30 minutes scenic fly or Salleri after 10 hours drive from Kathmandu.  Most of the people start from Salleri and end in Luk-La because from Salleri  you have cross so many countless ups and downhill which is good be used with altitude but from Luk-La you have to cross 4610 me with very steeply, which is more danger for altitude and sleep path as well. Anyway both way meets in Taktho (3670 m) and the trail follows the Hinku Valley until Khare Camp (5045 m). Generally you have to spend two nights at Tangnag (4380 m) and Khere Camp for acclimatization and general tanning for preparation how to use the climbing gears an Khare Camp then you have to take climbing gears to Mera High Camp (5780 m) with using climbing gears. Likewise you have to spend overnight at tenting camp then early morning about 1 am take hot breakfast and with fitting climbing gears on your body then our climbing Sherpa lead you to the Mera Peak summit (6476 m) then enjoy with mesmerizing view of five 8000 m peaks and other so many beautiful peaks as well then about 6 hours descend to Khare Camp and relax overnight there. Likewise, all the way return back to Lukla and scenic fly back to Kathmandu.

Itinerary

Day 1Airport picks up and transfer to hotel then give short briefing about tour plan

Day 2Kathmandu city tour in Kathmandu Durbare Square, Shyambhunath Temple, Bauddhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple then over night at hotel in Kathmandu

Day 3Early morning about 35 minutes fly to Lukla (2800m) then about 3 hrs trek to Chutang (3020 m) over night at lodge

Day 4 Chutang 6 hrs climb up Chhetrala (4610 m) then descend to Thulikharka (4100 m) over night at lodge

Day 5Thulikhark 5 hrs trek to Kothey (3600 m) over night at lodge

Day 6Kothey 5 hrs trek to Thangnag (4360 m) over night

Day 7Thangnag acclimazation

Day 8Thanagnag 5 hrs trek to Khare (4900 m) over 2 night at lodge

Day 9Acclimatization day at Khare

Day 10Khare about 5 hrs trek to high camp (5800 m) over night at tent
