Likewise, Island Peak (6189 m) climbing is the most famous for Trekking Peak climbing in Nepal because of its accessibility, technicality and spectacular view. It is situated in Everest Region between Lotse Glacier and Emja Glacier and also called Emjatse. Island Peak Climbing is rewarded to do with Everest Base Camp Trek or three Pass Trek then you are used to be with high elevation.
After 30 minutes scenic flight from Kathmandu to Luk-La then your adventure walk embarks crossing through the wide variety of flora, fauna and stunning alpine Sherpa villages; Phakding, Namche, Khumjung, Tengboche, Dingboche to Everest Base Camp. It is easy to be used to with altitude, if you are doing first Everest Base Camp or Three Pass Trek than directly heading to the Island Peak Base Camp. If you are used to with altitude then you can spent one night at Island Peak Base Camp then directly summit the Peak and decent to Chukuing or Base Camp but if your body is not used to with elevation then you have to spend more than one night at Base Camp and High Camp. To summit Island Peak you must be fit physically and mentally and you must have knowledge how to use climbing gears, then you can summit the Peak. Besides the two nights during Island Peak climbing, there is all the place you can stay in tea house except Island Peak Base Camp, we will provide all the climbing equipment, food, tents except your personal equipment. From the Island Peak Summit You can enjoy the view of Lotse (8516 m), Makalu (8467 m), Kanchenganga (8686 m), Amadublum, Kangtenga and more peaks with beautiful Emja Valley.
In the Island Peak Base Camp, You are provided sharing tent with your all meal and dry food as well. Then climbing Sherpa introduces the climbing equipment and try how to fit with you then give you couple of hours training with briefing about preparation before embark the summit. Generally, from Base Camp to Crampons point (5850 m) which takes about 4 hours then you have to fit your all climbing gears then you have to cross the crevasses vertical climb following the Sherpa and you will mention your lifetime memories.
